Poem written by Anthony Williams while being held inside of the holding cell in the Cole County jail. He was attending the habeas corpus hearing that ultimately determined his freedom. Anthony dedicated this poem to his attorney, Jennifer K. Bukowsky of the Bukowsky Law Firm in Columbia, Missouri.
She is small not inconsequential,
Petite not miniature in stature,
Among her peers a Giant,
Wise beyond her years,
Exhibiting no fear,
In the sea of advocates a Behemoth,
An innovative thinker & even more dynamic speaker,
An Officer of the Court and an Advocate for Justice,
Because of attorneys like you it’s not Just-Us,
Not solely out for a buck but an Employee of your client,
Counselor & Confidant,
For her winning is the cause,
Defying the odds,
And when you fight like she fights there is no loss,
Since in the end you always give your client’s a Fighters Chance.
